A Weekend House without the Hassle

Close to both Richmond and Williamsburg, the River House Club is a cool community of fun-loving families and couples who want a weekend house on the water without the hassle of owning one.

Concept:

Westover’s River House Club (“RHC”) is comprised of 8-10 fun, easy-going, outdoor-loving families or couples who rent its “River House,” a 4 bedroom, 1.5 bath farmhouse on the water. These families make up the “The River House Club” and share the use of this special house throughout each season. As a member of the Club, each family has use of the River House for four, six or eight long weekends per year, spread throughout the year. By signing a yearlong lease, Members have access to the following:

  • 4, 6 or 8 long weekends of use per year, spread across the seasons
  • Opportunity to add on days to either side of weekends to extend stays
  • Weekend usage is Thursday to Monday
  • House is fully furnished
  • Access to the River House Beach and the James River
  • Access to Westover walking trails and the Virginia Capital Trail
  • Use of communal bikes, water toys (paddle boards, kayaks, floats, etc.), fire pit
  • Cleaning, utilities and lawn service included
  • Pets allowed (2 dog maximum, unless first cleared by owners)

The River House offers an unbelievable opportunity to be in a spectacular setting on the water, less than an hour’s drive from Richmond or Williamsburg. The house is comfortable in all seasons, offers plenty of space to entertain and sleep, and is located in a beautiful, natural setting that boasts frequent bald eagle and wildlife sightings, sturgeon soundings, and extraordinary sunsets and moonrises.
